I love to make homemade gifts for friends and family. I think they are more appreciated than store bought items, what do you think? It comes from the heart and says, "I care enough to take time to make this for you." And you know what you are putting in it! Make it festive by adding bows and a handmade tag and you have a unique and delicious gift!

Ingredients:
  • 25 oz water (about 3 cups)
  • Stevia to taste or (if you want a little sugar) 6 oz sugar (3/4 cup)

  • 2 oranges, cut into a few pieces (squeeze the juice from half an orange)
  • rind of one orange
  • 3 to 5 cloves
  • 4 allspice berries (or add 1/4 tsp ground allspice)
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

*(Or you can use our Dried Mulling Spices from our RC Shop)

Wash storage bottles and place in a warm oven to dry completely.
*Place all of the ingredients in a pot and stir to dissolve sugar over medium low heat. Bring to a simmer then continue to cook for about 30 minutes.
Allow to cool, then strain the syrup before pouring into prepared bottles.

Print or Write the directions to be added to Kombucha syrup in the bottles for gifting or use.
Serving directions: Combine syrup to taste with your favorite Kombucha (for this I prefer adding syrup to flavored Kombucha like Lemon Ginger, Mango Ginger or Lemon Kombucha or Regular Kombucha) and
garnish with orange or apple slices and/or cinnamon sticks.

Alternatively, You can use this in your favorite sparkling beverage or drink.
Syrup will keep in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months. Or you can can this (in jars or our bottles) and it will keep for a couple of years.

Enjoy!
